Individuals who have demonstrated exceptional contribution or impact, including senior practitioners, long‑standing contributors, academics or thought leaders. Non‑members may be nominated where their expertise would benefit R3 and its work.
Make a nomination by completing our nominations form confirming details of the nominee and why they should be considered for Honorary membership.
Anyone, including R3 members, Council members, staff or non‑members. Self‑nominations are not accepted.
No. While greatly valued, involvement in R3 Council or our committees alone does not create an automatic entitlement.
No. Honorary members (other than Past Presidents) do not have voting rights or AGM attendance rights.
The R3 Membership Committee reviews nominations and makes recommendations. Final decisions are made by R3 Council.
Honorary membership is typically awarded for a fixed period of between 1 and 5 years. Only Immediate Past Presidents of R3 are awarded lifetime Honorary membership. R3 Council may withdraw Honorary membership if new information comes to light.
